Study Buddy is a flashcard study tool provided as-is. We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated flashcard content. Do not rely solely on this app for exam preparation or academic decisions.

AI-generated content

Flashcards generated by AI may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of any study material before using it for assessments, exams, or professional purposes. Study Buddy includes an automatic accuracy verification step, but it is not a guarantee of correctness.

No professional advice

Study Buddy does not provide educational, academic, or professional advice. The app is a tool to assist with memorisation and practice, not a substitute for proper study materials, tutoring, or professional guidance.

Paid services

Study Buddy Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited decks and card storage, 500 cards generated per day, plus cloud sync. The purchase is a one-time licence fee, not a subscription. Payment processing is handled by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's terms of service.

We reserve the right to change pricing for future purchases, but existing Pro licences will not be affected by pricing changes.

Refunds

If you are not satisfied with your Pro purchase, you may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Please contact us through the app's Settings screen or via our GitHub repository with your purchase details. After 14 days, all sales are final.

Cloud sync

Cloud backup is provided as an optional feature. Data stored on Supabase is encrypted in transit but sent as plain text to the server. We recommend not storing sensitive or personal information in your flashcards. We are not responsible for data loss, corruption, or unauthorised access to cloud backups.

User responsibilities

You agree not to misuse the app, including but not limited to: attempting to bypass rate limits, generating excessive API requests, uploading malicious content, or using the app for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to restrict access for abusive behaviour.

Availability

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time without notice. We are not liable for any loss of data — please export or back up your flashcards regularly.

Limitation of liability

Study Buddy and its creator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
